The SSC Staff Selection Commission invites online job applications from Indian citizens for the appointment to the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and Assistant Sub-Inspectors (ASI) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).
Last Date of Receiving SSC SI and ASI Application Form: 16th March, 2012 (23rd March, 2012 for far-flung areas)

There are total 1857 vacancies (975 for UR, 475 for OBC, 267 for SC and 140 for ST) in CAPFs of SSC SI recruitment 2012.
There are total 338 vacancies (172 for UR, 91 for OBC, 50 for SC and 25 for ST, 30 for Ex. Servicemen) in CISF of SSC ASI recruitment 2012.
Age Limit:
Age of candidates should be 20 to 25 years as on 16th March, 2012 to apply for SSC Sub Inspector recruitment 2012 in CAPFs and SSC Assistant Sub Inspector recruitment 2012 in CISF. Relaxation in upper age limit shall be offered to candidates as per the rules.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates should have a bachelor degree from a recognized university or equivalent as on 16th March, 2012 to apply online for SSC SI and ASI recruitment 2012.
Applicants have to pay Rs. 100 only through CRF stamp or SBI Challan or on-line payment.
Eligible candidates have to pay application fee by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)” only visiting Post Offices.
Candidates are advised to pay requisite fee only through State Bank of India either in the form of Challan or net-banking. SC/ST/Ex Servicemen and Women candidates are exempted from the application fee.
