UPSC 2012 Prelims exam announced at upsc.gov.in

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released a Preliminary examination notification through: www.upsc.gov.in for Civil Services Examination 2012. UPSC 2012 Prelims notification announced through examination notice number – 04/2012-CSP. Details of UPSC Preliminary Exam 2012 are to be published in Employment News also dated 11-17 February, 2012.

UPSC 2012 Prelims examination is to be held for the Civil Services Examination 2012 by Union Public Service Commission on 20th May, 2012 with a reference number F. No. 1/4/2011-E-I (B) in accordance with the Rules published by the Department of Personnel & Training in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 4th February, 2012.

UPSC Preliminary Exam 2012 Eligibility Criteria:

Candidates must be an Indian citizen as per the rules of Government of India for any government service to apply for www.upsc.gov.in Prelims 2012 Exam.

Age

Minimum age of applicants should be 21 years and maximum should not be completed of 30 years as on 1st August, 2012 to apply for www.upsc.gov.in 2012 Prelims. Born date of candidates should be between 2nd August, 1982 and 1st August, 1991. Relaxation in upper age limit for reserved category is available as per the rules of Government of India.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have a degree of bachelor to apply for www.upsc.gov.in Preliminary 2012 from a recognized university.


Eligible candidates are suggested to apply online only through: www.upsconline.nic.in. Each candidate has to apply only for one post. Candidates are advised to apply online in the prescribed format for www.upsc.gov.in recruitment 2012.


SC/ST/PH and Female candidates are exempted from the application fee. Other candidates have to pay Rs. 50 only. Candidates can submit the fee in any branch of SBI by cash. Candidates can pay fee by net banking of SBI Associate or by using Visa/Master/Credit/Debit card to apply online for UPSC recruitment 2012.

Candidates should use UPSC Prelims Online Application Form 2012 to appear in Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2012.

UPSC 2012 Prelims Exam will be based on objective types of questions. There will be 2 papers of MCQs for maximum 400 marks with negative marking procedure. UPSC Prelims syllabus 2012 details are made available through UPSC 2012 Prelims recruitment notification.
