SSC Staff Selection Commission invites online job applications from Indian citizens for the appointment to the post of Constables (GD) in CAPFs and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles. The recruitment notification published in the Employment and Rozgar Samachar dated 3rd December, 2011. SSC recruitment 2012 has been notified for the posts of Constable (GD) in ITBPF, BSF, CISF, CRPF and SSB and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles.

Last date of receiving application form for SSC Constables recruitment 2012 is 4th December, 2012. Last date for candidates belonging to far-flung areas is 11th January, 2012. Written exam has been scheduled on 22nd April, 2012. PST/PET has been scheduled from February to March, 2012. Medical examination has been scheduled from June to July, 2012. SSC Constables results will be declared on 30th September, 2012.


Candidates have to pay only Rs. 50 as application fee payable through CRF Stamp or SBI Challan or on-line payment through SBI account. Women/ST/SC and Ex-Servicemen candidates are exempted from the application fee.

Recruitment process will consist of Physical Standards Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Written Examination and Medical Examination. Qualified candidates in PST and PET will be called for written exam. Selected candidates of written exam will be called for Medical Examination.

Physical Standards:

Height:

For Male Candidates: 170 cms.

For Female Candidates: 157 cms.

Chest:

For Male Candidates only – Unexpanded: 80 cms

Expanded: Min expansion 5 cms

Physical Efficiency Test:

Male Candidates:

Long Jump: 11 feet
High Jump: 3 1/2 feet

Female Candidates:

Long Jump: 9 feet
High Jump: 3 feet

Candidates will get three chances in the PET. Parameters of PET for Ladakh Region should be checked. Ex-servicemen candidates will not face PET.

Written Exam:

Qualified candidates in PST/PET will be called for written examination. Written exam will comprise objective types of 100 questions for maximum 100 marks. Candidates will get 2 hours to solve these questions.

Age Limit for SSC Constable Recruitment 2012:

Age should be between 18 and 23 years as on 1st August, 2012. Applicants must not have been born earlier than 1st August, 1989 and not later than 1st August, 1994. Relaxation in age will be provided as per the government of India rules.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have minimum qualification of matriculation or 10th from a recognized board/university to apply for SSC Constables recruitment 2012.
