Motormen of the Western Railway have been agitating for the past few months to implement the Sixth Pay Commission, which will ensure that they are above guards in terms of grade pay, maintain the old formula for calculating running allowance and provide for assistant motormen.
However, the Motormen association has apologized to the common public for being forced to halt work since the government and rail officials were not listening to them.
