(UPSC) Union Public Service Commission www.upsconline.nic.in released an examination notice no. 05/2012-IPSLC through www.upsc.gov.in for Indian Police Service Limited Competitive Examination 2012. In accordance with the rules of Ministry of Home Affairs in the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 3rd March, 2012 (No. 22/4/2010-E.I (B), Union Public Service Commission will hold a Limited Competitive Examination from 20th of May, 2012 to fill the vacancy of Indian Police Service (IPS).

There will be a written and an interview test for UPSC IPS Limited Competitive Exam 2012. There will be penalty for each wrong answer.

UPSC IPS 2012 Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates must be Indian citizen. The candidates should have completed at least 5 years continuous and actual service as Deputy Superintendent of Police in States under State Police Service or Assistant Commandments in Central Para Military Forces (Central Reserve Police Service, Border Security Force, Indo Tibet Border Police, Central Industrial Security Force and Sashastra Seema Bal) or Officers of the Rank of Captain or Major or equivalent in the Armed Forces to apply for UPSC Indian Police Service Limited Competitive Examination 2012. Candidates should have an unblemished service record.
Age Limit:
Age of applicants should be 35 years as on 1st August, 2012 i. e. born date should not be earlier than 2nd August, 1977 to apply for UPSC IPS 2012.
