The software giant Microsoft, which has already a small stake in the social network giant Facebook, now has itself dipped its feet into the ocean of social networks. So, keeping the above fact in mind, 2 days back, Microsoft’s Research lab, FUSE LAB, has launched a social networking site. The FUSE lab has combined searching & social networking for the purpose of learning.
Now a day we can see that the youth, i.e. the students stay online for hours. Even the educational institutes make students search online for the projects & other stuffs. Thus considering the fact that the best online audience can be only students, So.cl is been developed. But even general public would be benefited by So.cl.
Currently, you cannot sign in into So.cl. Thus all the features of So.cl aren’t being able to explore completely. But in So.cl there is a very nice feature called “video party”. These days we find there are many updates on Facebook which are in form of videos. In the video party, you can make a list of videos & view it with your friends who would be online on So.cl. Simultaneously you will also be able to chat with them.
Finally So.cl is not made to replace the gigantic social networking sites & the search engines. On contrary, it is a research project with limited features which would try to link the social networks & the search engines.
